Ogopuki gets few visitors and that is its whole honest description. Most of the year you arrive and the beach belongs to the group stepping off the boat, with nobody else around.

It does not have the reef of its Coco Bandero neighbours or the name of the famous islands. What it has is the feeling, rarer and rarer in San Blas, of being on an island you are not sharing with anyone.

Can you visit Ogopuki in a single day?

Yes. You leave Panama City around 5:00 am by 4x4, cross into the comarca and continue by boat; you are back the same afternoon. No overnight stay needed.

How much does it cost to reach Ogopuki?

From $135 per person, depending on which of our routes you take. That price already covers the door-to-door 4x4, the boat, lunch and the guide. The only extra is the comarca entrance fee, paid once: $22 for foreigners and $7 for residents, in cash and directly to the Guna community.

How long do you spend on Ogopuki?

A day trip splits the morning and afternoon between the islands on the itinerary, so no single stop lasts all day. If you would rather stay on one island without rushing, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you which route comes closest.

Will I be sharing the beach with other groups?

Rarely. For most of the year the sand belongs to whoever steps off your boat. That feeling of having an island to yourself is getting harder and harder to find in San Blas.

Is there snorkelling on Ogopuki?

The reef of that day is at Coco Bandero, which is on the same tour. Ogopuki does not compete there: what it brings is the empty beach and photos with no strangers in the background.
