There are 4 routes that stop at Isla Pelícano, all leaving Panama City on the same day, between $114 and $149 per person. The island is the same in all of them: what changes is which others come with it and what you pay for that.
Sorted cheapest first. All include the 4x4 from your hotel, the boat, lunch and the guide.
On top of any of these prices comes the comarca entrance fee: $22 per foreigner and $7 per resident, in cash and once only.
Isla Pelicano is the odd one out in the catalogue: four routes reach it, and they do not all go to the same part of the archipelago. Three move around Cayos Limones — its own area — and one, the Romantic Escape, combines it with Coco Blanco and Chichime, which lie to the west. Which means two very different days end up here.
Within Limones the split is the usual one: $114 for the Escape Day Trip, which only adds Perro Chico; $135 for the Panoramic Tour, which adds Perro Chico and Diablo; $149 for the VIP Package, which adds those two plus Aguja and the Guna community.
The Romantic Escape costs $135 and is the only one that repeats no island from the other three. If you already know Limones and want something new with Pelicano in it, that is the one to look at; if this is your first time, the Limones routes pack more famous islands into the same day.
Between $114 and $149 per person depending on the route, with the 4x4 from your hotel, the boat, lunch and the guide included. The comarca fee is separate: $22 foreigners and $7 residents, in cash.
The day splits roughly four hours of water time between the islands on the itinerary, so no stop lasts the whole day. The fewer islands the route has, the longer at each: which is why the cheapest is not always the one that gives you least.
With a deposit, and the rest is paid on the day of the tour. Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before: you get 100 % of the deposit back or change the date at no cost.
Because Pelicano sits on the edge of Cayos Limones and belongs to both that area's routes and the one heading west. Three tours pair it with Perro Chico and Diablo; the Romantic Escape pairs it with Coco Blanco and Chichime, which is a whole different day.
The Escape Day Trip, $114, which stops at Pelicano and Perro Chico and nothing else. It is the lowest price in the catalogue and reaches the same island as the $149 VIP Package; the difference is the rest of the day's stops.
