Narganá is joined by a footbridge to Corazón de Jesús, and that walkway is one of the most recognisable images in the comarca. It is the largest community visited on the day trip and the one with the most to see on foot.

It is also the most westernised stop on the route: there are streets, shops and small-town life. Anyone looking for the untouched traditional community will find it sooner in Corbiski or Nalunega; anyone wanting to understand how the comarca lives alongside the 21st century will find it here.

Which tours include Narganá

One route reaches this island, and it is the one that sets the price.

What else you see the same day

No day trip stops at just one island. These are the ones that share the morning with Narganá.

  • Corbiski An inhabited island where you can observe the daily life of the Guna people among traditional houses.
  • El Porvenir Administrative headquarters of the Guna Yala region, with an airstrip and a museum.

Questions about Narganá

Can you visit Narganá in a single day?

Yes. You leave Panama City around 5:00 am by 4x4, cross into the comarca and continue by boat; you are back the same afternoon. No overnight stay needed.

How much does it cost to reach Narganá?

From $135 per person, depending on which of our routes you take. That price already covers the door-to-door 4x4, the boat, lunch and the guide. The only extra is the comarca entrance fee, paid once: $22 for foreigners and $7 for residents, in cash and directly to the Guna community.

How long do you spend on Narganá?

A day trip splits the morning and afternoon between the islands on the itinerary, so no single stop lasts all day. If you would rather stay on one island without rushing, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you which route comes closest.

What is special about the bridge?

It links Narganá to Corazón de Jesús over the water and is one of the most recognisable images in the comarca. Crossing it takes a couple of minutes and is the best part of the visit.

Is it a traditional community?

It is the most urban of the ones visited: streets, shops and small-town rhythm. For Guna life unmixed there are Corbiski or Nalunega; here you see how the comarca lives alongside the 21st century.
