Maoki

Yes, you can visit Maoki in a single day. It sits in the West area and is included in 1 of our day trips from Panama City, from $135 per person: pickup is around 5:00 am and you are back the same day.

A calm, shallow cove—perfect for floating carefree.

Maoki has water so shallow that you can walk a good way out to sea without it going over your head. That makes it comfortable for anyone who does not swim well and for anyone who simply wants to float without thinking.

It comes with Coco Blanco and Limón on the same day, the route of the whitest cays in the west.

Which tours include Maoki

One route reaches this island, and it is the one that sets the price.

What else you see the same day

No day trip stops at just one island. These are the ones that share the morning with Maoki.

  • Isla Limón It gives its name to the Cayos Limones, a historic landmark for sailors.
  • Isla Coco Blanco The deserted island of dreams: tiny, snow-white, and with a handful of palm trees.

Questions about Maoki

Can you visit Maoki in a single day?

Yes. You leave Panama City around 5:00 am by 4x4, cross into the comarca and continue by boat; you are back the same afternoon. No overnight stay needed.

How much does it cost to reach Maoki?

From $135 per person, depending on which of our routes you take. That price already covers the door-to-door 4x4, the boat, lunch and the guide. The only extra is the comarca entrance fee, paid once: $22 for foreigners and $7 for residents, in cash and directly to the Guna community.

How long do you spend on Maoki?

A day trip splits the morning and afternoon between the islands on the itinerary, so no single stop lasts all day. If you would rather stay on one island without rushing, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you which route comes closest.

Can you stand up in the water?

For a good stretch out from the shore, yes. That is why it works so well for anyone who does not trust their swimming, or who simply wants to float without taking a stroke.

And with small children?

It is the easiest stop of the entire day: because it stays shallow, an adult can stand beside them the whole time without letting go. It shares the day with Coco Blanco and Limón.
