Coco Blanco is the desert island of the imagination: minimal, very white sand and a countable handful of palms. You walk the whole of it in a moment and there is nothing else, which is exactly what people come looking for.

It appears in two of our routes, including the one designed for couples, because it is the stop where the photos people later show off come from.

Which tours include Isla Coco Blanco

Several routes stop here. What changes is which other islands come with it, and the price.

What else you see the same day

No day trip stops at just one island. These are the ones that share the morning with Isla Coco Blanco.

  • Isla Pelícano (Gorginega) A tiny, picture-perfect cay, surrounded by a ring of turquoise water perfect for swimming.
  • Isla Chichime Two twin islands with the most photographed palm trees in Guna Yala; a favorite spot for sailboats.
  • Maoki A calm, shallow cove—perfect for floating carefree.
  • Isla Limón It gives its name to the Cayos Limones, a historic landmark for sailors.

Questions about Isla Coco Blanco

Can you visit Isla Coco Blanco in a single day?

Yes. You leave Panama City around 5:00 am by 4x4, cross into the comarca and continue by boat; you are back the same afternoon. No overnight stay needed.

How much does it cost to reach Isla Coco Blanco?

From $135 per person, depending on which of our routes you take. That price already covers the door-to-door 4x4, the boat, lunch and the guide. The only extra is the comarca entrance fee, paid once: $22 for foreigners and $7 for residents, in cash and directly to the Guna community.

How long do you spend on Isla Coco Blanco?

A day trip splits the morning and afternoon between the islands on the itinerary, so no single stop lasts all day. If you would rather stay on one island without rushing, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you which route comes closest.

Is it the desert island from the photos?

It is the closest thing to it: very white sand, palm trees you can count on one hand, and nothing else. You walk around all of it before you realise, and that is exactly what people come for.

Can I spend the whole day here?

It is good for a decent while, not for a whole day: with so few palms, the shade runs out fast. It appears on two routes, one of them the one designed for couples.
